The Hostel (Ostello) was created 30 years ago out of a goat pen and arranged in a modern and affectionate way. It is situated in the centre of the village Cavergno in the Tessin (Switzerland) and is a wonderful starting point for short and long hikes. The ground floor houses the reception, the showers/toilet and the well equipped kitchen. On the frist floor you find the dining and common room with breakfast bar, a single bedroom and the corridor which leads to 2 separate dormitories. Kitchen and dining room are connected by a lift (for meals only) and stairs. The wild and beautiful Valle Bavona and the Vallemaggia can be reached by car or on many trails. Lots of possibilities for rockclimbing, mountainbiking, relaxing in the grotti (tipical restaurants) and bathing in the rivers Bavona, Lavizzara and Maggia. In winter skiing, tobogganing, snowboarding and snow shoe walking in the winter resort Bosco Gurin and in the upper Maggia Valley. Ice rink in Prato Sornico.
