The Casa Popolo in Andermatt (canton Uri, Central Switzerland) was equipped to meet more refined tastes. Recreation room under the roof which features beautiful timber beams. It is nestling among the Gotthard, the Oberalp and the Furka passes in the Urseren Valley.
The ski-lifts and mountain railways are situated at a walking distance of only 5 to 10 mins and they take you up to the Gemsstock (2963m), from where you can admire the panoramic view of 600 mountain peaks. The sports region Andermatt-Gotthard offers 56 kms of downhill ski runs and 20 kms of cross-country ski runs. In summer, the valley invites you to go hiking, mountaineering, cycling, golfing and much more.
From Zurich or Lugano, you will reach the Urseren Valley by car within only 90 mins (motorway A2). From the exit Göschenen, you are in Andermatt within 10 mins.
If you travel by train, you have to change in Göschenen and continue with the Schöllenen Railway.

The house is located at the bicycles routes number 1 from the Furka Pass to Geneva, number 2 from the Oberalp Pass to Basel and number 3 from Basel to Chiasso.
