The cosy wooden Gästehaus Schwendihütte in Habkern near Interlaken (Bernese Oberland, Switzerland) dates back to the 18th century and has been renovated with environmentally compatible building material. With its 27 handmade bunk beds out of wrought iron it is particularly suited for schools, camps, ski holidays, study weeks but also for family celebrations and other events. An educational mountain farm is being developped. A well equipped kitchen, modern sanitary installations and a cosy common room are available. For larger groups as well as conferences the adjacent appartment as well as the fully equipped conference room in the house Maiezyt can be rented additionally (K-4191-2718). The conference room has flip chart, beamer, DVD/Video, TV, overhead and slide projectors as well as screen, stacking chairs and -tables.
The guest house lies at the entry to the nature park Lake of Thune - Hohgant, which offers unlimited possibilities for nature lovers and sports enthusisasts with its cross country ski trails, ski runs, snow shoe tours and biking and hiking trails.
