The Berghaus Schafmatt belongs to the village of Oltingen in the canton Baselland (Switzerland). The Schafmatt is an ideal hiking and leisure area on the Jura panoramic trail in summer and winter, often above the fog line. There are 4 dormitories at the disposal of clubs, schools and camps which can accommodate up to 32 persons in total. The cosy mountain guest house can also be rented for family celebrations and events.

The lounge seats 40 persons. The separate hind room is suited as a training classroom. There is a well equipped kitchen with the necessary crockery, 2 refrigerators and a TIBA wood stove. A heat pump has been installed for the heating and warm water production. The sewage is treated by our own small biologic purification plant. There are a shower and washbasins. Groceries can be bought in the local shops of Oltingen and Stüsslingen.

You can reach the Berghaus Schafmatt by public transport from the bus stop Barmelweid in 25 minutes on foot. There is a parking lot for private cars and coaches at 5 minutes distance from the house.
