The St. Joseph Hotel is perfectly suitable for hikers, wedding parties, clubs and other groups. The house offers a cosy restaurant seating 80 persons, a very nice dining room seating 50 persons, a garden terrace seating 100 persons, a large hall for up to 120 persons, a children's playground and enough parking spaces.

The village of Gänsbrunnen is nestled between the Jura hills and the Weissenstein area inviting for impressive hikes or just for relaxation. Come and enjoy the mysterious atmosphere now and then with fog patches sticking to the rockfaces. On the one hand, the village of Gänsbrunnen is the northern entrance to the Weissenstein tunnel which is the terminus of the bus connection leading through the valley to the village of Balsthal. On the other hand, Gänsbrunnen is also the borderline between the German-speaking and the French-speaking part of Switzerland and it is an ideal starting point for wonderful hikes in all directions of the Jura area. By car, take the motorway exit of Oensingen and follow the road in the direction of Balsthal and Moutier.
