The Casa Stefano stands at the entrance of the village Vergeletto. Over time, new parts have been added to the old main edifice with its thick walls, two large chimneys and a heavy stone roof. For many years it has been a restaurant and inn. Since 1989, it is managed as a hostel for camps.
A narrow path leads down to the stone arch bridge across the Ribo river and through light wood and on out of the valley. Another broad hiking trail upwards along the slope by which you can reach Gresso within half an hour starts right at the house.
