Spacious mountain house with dormitories and appartment for the organisers. Situated just above Elm on the alpine pasture Empächli, at an altitude of 1500 m and at a walking-distance of 2 mins from the peak station of the cable car Elm-Empächli. It is part of the Berghaus Vorab (see www.groups.ch/K-0580-3094/e) with 92 beds. Playroom and recreation rooms available. A unique vantage point with a view of the "Martinsloch". Accessible by cable car. Car only with permission of the landlord.
Starting point for hiking tours of every degrees of difficulty in the most ancient game reservation of Europe, the "Freiberg Kärpf". About 60 sign-posted hiking and mountaineering trails for excursions and outings. Diverse alpine flora, observation of game, alpine cheese dairy, nature trail.
Location in the midst of the skiing area Elm- Schabell which provides
7 ski-lifts and 35 kms of ski-runs of every degree of difficulty. Installations for producing artificial snow on 5 kms of the ski-runs. Toboggan run of 3 kms to Elm, starting point for various skiing tours, cross-country skiing trail of 8 kms in the valley.
