The Chalet de la Jeunesse in Arolla (Valais, Switzerland) is easily accessible by car or by postal bus, throughout the year.

In summer: starting point for various walks and hiking tours. The mountaineering school Arolla offers an introduction into climbing and it organises tours to well-known mountain peaks: Dent Blanche, Aiguilles Rouges, Pigne and Mont Collon.

The area surrounding Arolla offers a rich alpine flora and fauna.
In winter: the chalet is situated immediately next to the ski-lifts and the wonderful downhill runs. The skiing area is situated at an altitude ranging from 1980 up to 3000 m above sea-level. Well-prepared cross-country ski-runs are also provided.


The canton Valais makes high demands on camps with children and adolescents and on group accommodation. Please check the current operating approval.
