The recently renovated residence Jean-Jacques Rousseau is situated in the midst of the natural preservation area of the Creux-du-Van near Champ-du-Moulin (canton de Neuchâtel, Switzerland) on a meadow near the forest at the edge of the Areuse river .
Despite its remoteness, the house can be easily reached by railway (ten minutes on foot to the railway station) or by car.
The house has several common rooms as well as a completely equipped laboratory for natural science observations.
A big hall with a fireplace and the covered verandah nearby give the house an agreeable note. Central heating and all the comfort are available. The region is ideal for hikes and bike tours (mountainbike and cycle) and the city of Neuchâtel is accessible in a quarter of an hour.
