The group house Alpina in Seelisberg above the Lake of the Four Cantons in Central Switzerland (canton Uri) is situated at the starting point of the Walk of Switzerland and is thus ideal for a visit to historic sites. All around Seelisberg more than 20 sign-posted walking and hiking trails offer further opportunities to explore the area.
The skiing area Stockhütte - Klewenalp offers a vast range of winter sports possibilities. From Seelisberg (bus stop right in front of the Alpina house), the postal bus brings you to Emmetten or Beckenried, from where you can get to the skiing area by mountain transport facilities. This postal bus ride is included in the price of your one-day skiing pass. An enjoyable alternative: in less than 40 minutes, you can reach various skiing areas in Central Switzerland: Gemsstock, Airolo, Titlis, Stoos and Melchsee-Frutt: a different area every day, while living in the middle, in Seelisberg.
